Two Rochester men face felony charges after police executed simultaneous “no-knock” search warrants at two separate residences in the City of Geneva on Friday morning.

At approximately 5:00 a.m., members of the City of Geneva Police Department’s Detective Bureau, in conjunction with the Ontario and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office SWAT teams, executed the warrants following a several-week-long investigation into the sale of narcotics. Detectives arrested Shimal Slade and Jakequan Lake for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

According to authorities, Slade is accused of selling crack cocaine from a residence on Genesee Street. He was previously arrested in Geneva on September 24, 2025, for the same offense. Lake is accused of selling crack cocaine from a Lakeview Mental Health apartment building located on Exchange Street. Both men were processed at the Geneva Police Department and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.

The Geneva Police Department was assisted in the multi-agency investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Police.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
