An Onondaga County man was arrested by State Police after he allegedly threatened another person with a shotgun following a dispute over a utility bill.

After Troopers arrived at the Whiting Road residence in Elbridge just after 10 Tuesday night, 64-year-old Harvey Brown barricaded himself inside and did not respond to any efforts to contact him. Shortly after 3 Wednesday morning, Brown surrendered.

Brown was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

A search warrant obtained by State Police led to the recovery of two shotguns and a rifle from Brown’s home.
