The oath of office will be administered on Tuesday to 120 New York State Court Officer recruits.

While most of the graduating class hail from upstate, several of the Unified Court System’s Court Officers Academy graduates are from New York City and Long Island. Among the June 2025 class are former New York State Correction Officers and Deputy Sheriffs, and a former TSA agent, park ranger, teacher, paralegal, and physical therapist, along with numerous other professions.

Adding to the ranks of the Unified Court System’s 4,000-plus Court Officers and 2,000 non-uniformed peace officers, the newly minted officers will be deployed on Friday to courts in the Capital Region, Western New York, Central New York, and New York’s North Country and Southern Tier.

Tuesday’s ceremony will take place in Albany.
