Williamson Woman Charged in False Kidnapping Report

Police Blotter

A Williamson woman has been charged after Ontario County Sheriff’s investigators say she falsely reported being kidnapped and assaulted at Eastview Mall last month.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 21-year-old Emma Fuller was arrested Monday at her home and charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Investigators say the charge stems from a complaint Fuller filed on April 26, alleging she had been assaulted and kidnapped while at Eastview Mall in Victor. Following an investigation, authorities determined the reported incident never occurred and that Fuller knowingly provided false information to law enforcement.

Fuller was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
