On Thursday, April 16th, Schuyler County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 65-year-old Watkins Glen resident following a traffic stop on County Road 16 in the Town of Dix.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Mary Balcerak was arrested after the roadside investigation. Sheriff’s K9 Elza assisted deputies during the incident.
Balcerak was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree. She was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charges in the Town of Dix Court at a later date.
