A Waterloo woman is facing driving while intoxicated charges after police say she drove home from a domestic incident with a blood alcohol content nearly five times the legal limit.
According to the Waterloo Police Department, 40-year-old Korrin Reynolds was arrested Saturday at approximately 7:50 p.m. following an investigation into a reported roadside domestic incident. Police said Reynolds allegedly drove herself home after the incident. Officers later located her at her residence and described her as being in a highly intoxicated state.
Investigators said Reynolds admitted she had recently driven home and had not consumed alcohol since earlier in the day.
Following the investigation, police determined Reynolds had a blood alcohol content of 0.39%.
Reynolds was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18% or greater. She was issued an appearance ticket and released to a sober third party.
Police remind the public that criminal charges are accusations and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
