Newark Man Charged With Terroristic Threat in Victor

A Newark man is facing a felony charge after Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies say he made threatening statements about harming coworkers at a business in Victor.

Deputies say 25-year-old Dominic Downey was arrested Monday following a suspicious condition complaint in the Town of Victor. Investigators determined Downey allegedly made statements indicating he intended to cause harm in the workplace.

Downey was charged with making a terroristic threat and was taken to the Ontario County Jail, where he was arraigned at centralized arraignment court and held pending further proceedings.

He is scheduled to return to Victor Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
