A Fairport man faces a driving while intoxicated charge following a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on State Route 96.

Ontario County Deputies arrested Christopher Broughton, 23, at approximately 3:38 a.m.  According to authorities, the arrest stemmed from an investigation into a one-car crash in the Town of Victor. Broughton was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ontario County Jail.

He was subsequently released with traffic citations and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Victor Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
