This historical marker details the origins and significance of The Great Genesee Road, an ancient Native American trail whose history Christopher Carosa will present in Seneca Falls.

Historian and writer Christopher Carosa will present “The Road to a New Home: A Brief History of the Great Genesee Road” on Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m. at the Becker Mansion dining room, 55 Cayuga St., Seneca Falls.

The program, hosted by the Seneca Falls Historical Society, will explore the origins and construction of major thoroughfares in the Greater Western New York Region. Carosa will discuss how the intersection of science and history, from the Ice Age to the Industrial Age, contributed to the creation of these roads.
