An Auburn man faces a misdemeanor charge following a shoplifting incident in Seneca Falls.
On Friday, members of the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested 59-year-old John Phillips. The arrest stems from a report that Phillips allegedly stole property belonging to a local business.
According to police, Phillips selected merchandise and passed all points of sale without attempting to pay for the items. He was charged with Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor.
Phillips was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
