Auburn Man Arrested For Seneca Falls Theft

An Auburn man faces a misdemeanor charge following a shoplifting incident in Seneca Falls.

On Friday, members of the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested 59-year-old John Phillips. The arrest stems from a report that Phillips allegedly stole property belonging to a local business.

According to police, Phillips selected merchandise and passed all points of sale without attempting to pay for the items. He was charged with Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor.

Phillips was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
