Savona Man Facing Felony Contempt Charge After Arrest

Thomas Stark, a Savona man, is facing a felony contempt charge following his arrest.

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that deputies arrested Thomas Stark, 27, of Savona, following a report of an order of protection violation.

It is alleged that Stark repeatedly contacted an individual who was protected from contact due to a duly served order of protection. Police state the contact occurred both while Stark was incarcerated in the Steuben County Jail and after his release.

Stark was charged with Aggravated Family Offense, a class E felony, and second-degree Criminal Contempt.

Stark was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and subsequently released.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
