Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three Town of Savannah residents on Wednesday following the execution of a search warrant at a home on Savannah Spring Lake Road.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Michael Welch, Bill Ridley, and Chyenne Gonyeau were each charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

The arrests stem from an investigation into the alleged sale and possession of narcotics at the residence. During the search, deputies reportedly recovered approximately 90 grams of cocaine and 24 grams of methamphetamine from inside the home.

Investigators said the case originated from previous investigations involving Welch. Authorities noted the Sheriff’s Office has handled five felony narcotics and weapons-related cases involving Welch since December 2025.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office during the investigation.

All three individuals were transported to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
