Penn Yan Man Arrested On Cayuga County Indictment Warrant

On Tuesday, members of the Auburn Police Department’s GIVE Unit traveled to Penn Yan to arrest a local man on an outstanding indictment warrant.

Tillman Freeland, 36, was taken into custody in connection with a domestic incident that occurred on Seymour Street last month. A warrant for his arrest was subsequently issued by Cayuga County Court.

Freeland was indicted on several charges, including third-degree robbery, first-degree criminal contempt, two counts of aggravated family offense, three counts of third-degree criminal contempt, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Following his arrest, Freeland was transported to the Auburn Police Department for processing. He was later brought to the Cayuga County Jail to await arraignment.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
