Dr. Arthur Equinozzi and Dr. William Platzer, two Geneva physicians, have reunited and are now seeing patients together at a Finger Lakes Health Primary Care office located in the Medical Office Building, adjacent to Geneva General Hospital. The practice will relocate to Suite 201A within the same building, effective May 4, 2026.
The new location aims to expand access to care. Drs. Equinozzi and Platzer are joined by Physician Assistants Greg Fix and Stephanie Husnay, and Nurse Practitioner Amanda Briggs.
Fix has cared for patients at Finger Lakes Health Primary Care for more than a year and previously worked for a decade alongside Drs. Equinozzi and Platzer. He brings 15 years of experience serving the Geneva community and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, having earned his Master of Physician Assistant Science at Gannon University in Erie, Pa.
Husnay, moving from Geneva Primary Care, received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from St. Bonaventure University, Olean, N.Y., and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utica University, Utica, N.Y. Briggs began her healthcare career at the Marion S. Whelan School of Practical Nursing in Geneva and previously worked at Geneva Primary Care and Seneca Family Health. She earned her Master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner Studies from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, N.Y., and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Addison, Ill.
Dr. Equinozzi has practiced medicine in the Finger Lakes for over 25 years. Dr. Platzer joined Finger Lakes Health Primary Care one year ago and has spent much of his career in Geneva.
“I’m looking forward to being back in Geneva, and continuing to see patients in Penn Yan,” said Dr. Equinozzi. “I’ve been practicing medicine in the Finger Lakes for over 25 years and am committed to helping them live their healthiest lives. I also am thrilled to be working alongside Dr. Platzer again.”
Dr. Platzer added, “Maintaining longstanding relationships with our patients is important, and having the opportunity to continue working closely with trusted colleagues makes it even more meaningful.”
André Forcier, MHA, RT, Assistant Vice President – Physician Network for Finger Lakes Health, stated, “Finger Lakes Health is committed to ensuring our community has access to primary care they know and trust.”
