Penn Yan Village Police arrested Morgan Rogers, 29, of Dundee, following a traffic stop on Brown Street.
Officers initially responded to a report of two individuals involved in a domestic dispute inside a moving vehicle traveling into the village. Police located the vehicle on Brown Street and initiated a traffic stop, during which they developed reasonable suspicion that the occupants had an active stay-away order of protection in place.
During the investigation, Rogers falsely identified herself to officers by impersonating a member of her family. Police were eventually able to positively identify her, and she was subsequently charged with second-degree Criminal Impersonation.
Rogers was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
