A Town of Arcadia man was arrested following a traffic stop in Palmyra on charges including driving while intoxicated, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said 43-year-old Joseph Lugo, of State Route 31, was stopped for speeding in the Town of Palmyra. During the investigation, authorities determined Lugo was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Lugo was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or higher, First-Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and speeding.
According to deputies, Lugo voluntarily submitted to a chemical breath test at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, which allegedly revealed a blood alcohol content of .15%.
Lugo was held at the Wayne County Jail pending centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
