On Thursday, deputies with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested Larry Jasek, 57, of Stanley, following a larceny investigation at the Walmart in the Town of Hopewell.

It is alleged that Jasek selected various items of merchandise at the store located on Recreation Drive and passed all final points of sale without attempting to pay for the goods. Following his arrest, Jasek was transported to the Ontario County Jail for centralized arraignment. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance and will answer the charge of Petit Larceny in local court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
