Hopewell Charged With Assault for Incident at Patty’s Lodge

On Monday, deputies responded to Patty’s Lodge in the Town of Hopewell for a reported domestic disturbance. Following an investigation at the scene, deputies determined that Chuncey Ward had violated an active Order of Protection issued out of the Town of Hopewell Court.

Ward is accused of damaging property totaling approximately $290.00. She also allegedly assaulted the protected party by biting them, which left a wound.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Ward was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, and Assault in the Third Degree. She was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where she will be held to answer the charges at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
