A Phelps man was taken into custody Saturday morning on an active felony warrant following a traffic stop.

Ontario County Deputies arrested Troy Randleman, 36, on an active felony warrant for absconding from the terms of his parole. He was also arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court regarding the original charges.

According to authorities, Randleman was reportedly involved in a larceny from the Geneva Wegmans. Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies intercepted a vehicle he was traveling in near County Road 46 and County Road 10, where they took him into custody without incident.

Randleman was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was held for pre-arraignment detention. He will answer the charges at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
