Geneva Man Accused of Harassing Downtown Business Owner

On Friday, Geneva Police arrested a 49-year-old Geneva resident following a complaint from a downtown business owner on Exchange Street.

According to authorities, Jonathan Kopetchny was taken into custody after the business owner reported that the suspect continuously spat on the storefront windows. Kopetchny is also accused of making threatening hand gestures toward the store’s staff.

Kopetchny was charged with Harassment in the Second Degree.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
