An 18-year-old Farmington resident was arrested Monday following an investigation into a larceny that occurred earlier this month.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that Jaedyn Meadows was identified via surveillance footage as a suspect in an incident at Tops Market on May 15. Meadows is accused of taking two 12-packs of Twisted Tea and concealing them in his backpack before leaving the store without paying.

Deputies located Meadows on Monday afternoon at the Byrne Dairy on State Route 96, where he was placed under arrest at 1:21 p.m. for Petit Larceny.

Meadows was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in the Town of Farmington Court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
