A Canandaigua man was ticketed following a one-car crash Friday night in the Town of Canandaigua.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 10:27 p.m. to the area of County Road 28 and Parkside Drive for a reported personal injury accident.
Investigators say a vehicle operated by 42-year-old Brian McDermott, of Canandaigua, left the roadway and crashed into a wooded area off County Road 28.
McDermott suffered minor injuries and was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital by Canandaigua Ambulance.
A portion of County Road 28 was temporarily closed during the response but has since reopened.
Deputies issued McDermott a uniform traffic ticket for moving from the lane unsafely.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
