On Saturday, Ontario County Deputies arrested a Canandaigua resident following a report of a possible intoxicated driver in the Town of Farmington.

Deputies responded to the area of County Road 28 and Emerson Road around 9:18 PM. They located the suspect vehicle traveling north on Sandhill Road and subsequently initiated a traffic stop on Shortsville Road after observing a vehicle and traffic law violations.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Manuel Gaspar, 55. Following an investigation at the scene, deputies determined that Gaspar was allegedly intoxicated.

Gaspar was arrested and issued uniform traffic tickets for Failure to Keep Right, Operating Out of Restrictions, Driving While Intoxicated, and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Farmington Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
