David Christian, a New Jersey man, was arrested by Bath Police at an apartment, according to local reports.

On Tuesday, Bath Police officers responded to an apartment complex on West Washington Street following a report of an intoxicated man refusing to leave a caller’s apartment.

Upon arrival, officers met with the caller at their door. The suspect, identified as David Christian, 36, of New Jersey, was uncooperative and refused to allow officers inside the apartment. Police determined that another tenant had barricaded themselves inside the bathroom out of fear of Christian.

Following an investigation, Christian was arrested and charged with second-degree Criminal Trespass and second-degree Obstructing Governmental Administration, both of which are class A misdemeanors.

Christian was processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail for centralized arraignment.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
