On Saturday, officers with the Village of Bath Police Department were dispatched to a burglary in progress at a residence on West Morris Street.
It was reported that the suspect fled the scene and was followed by the victim, who called 911. The victim was able to effectively relay the location of the suspect to emergency dispatchers, allowing officers to locate him on Buell Street.
Upon arrival, officers identified the suspect as Trenton Storms, age 26, of Bath. Through further investigation, it was determined that Storms had allegedly entered the victim’s residence unlawfully and stole clothing. During his immediate flight from the scene, Storms also allegedly brandished a knife toward the victim as she was calling 911.
Storms was arrested and charged with one count of Burglary in the First Degree, a Class B felony, and one count of Petit Larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.
Storms was processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) arraignment, where he remains held without bail.
