Auburn Woman Facing Felony Drug Charges

An Auburn woman faces multiple felony charges following a narcotics investigation by the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force.

On Wednesday afternoon, investigators detained Ashley Gordon, 39, outside of The Cayuga Inn at the Finger Lakes on William Street in Auburn. Law enforcement subsequently executed court-authorized search warrants on her person and her Auburn residence, which authorities allege was being used to further narcotics sales.

During the search, investigators located and seized a quantity of cocaine.

Gordon was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a class B felony) and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a class C felony).

Following her arrest, Gordon was processed at the Auburn Police Department and later arraigned. She was ultimately released on her own recognizance.

The Finger Lakes Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the New York State Police, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, and the Auburn Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities ask anyone with additional information regarding this case to contact the task force at 315-282-7540.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
