An Auburn man already incarcerated at the Cayuga County Jail is facing additional charges after allegedly violating an order of protection.

Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck said members of the Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Anthony Crawford of Auburn on May 8. According to investigators, the charges stem from an incident at the Cayuga County Jail in which Crawford allegedly contacted a protected party in violation of an active order of protection.

Crawford was charged with aggravated family offense, a Class E felony, and second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

He was arraigned in CAP Court and remains held at the Cayuga County Jail.
