Living Center at Geneva-North and Living Center at Geneva-South, both located on the campus of Geneva General Hospital, were recognized as Age-Friendly Health Systems – Committed to Care Excellence by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.

To earn this recognition, both facilities collected data on residents who received care based on the 4Ms criteria:  What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility, a set of evidence-based practices that define high-quality care for older adults. As of August 2023, more than 1,900 hospitals, practices, convenient care clinics, and nursing homes have received this recognition.

“This accomplishment and recognition reflect the dedication to quality care that our teams strive for each and every day by providing compassionate, high-quality care to the older adults in our communities, said Bill Garrity, Vice President of Long Term Care.

Globally, more than 2.48 million older adults have been reached with 4Ms care.
