Yates County Sheriff to Host Public Safety Building Open House

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is inviting the public to get a closer look at its operations during an upcoming open house at the Yates County Public Safety Building.

The event is scheduled for Saturday with guided tours offered between 9 a.m. and noon.

Officials say the one-hour tours will provide an inside look at the facility, which houses the county jail, road patrol, criminal investigations division, dispatch center, and administrative offices.  Tours are open to anyone interested in attending, but pre-registration is required. Those wishing to sign up are asked to contact Joy Jensen, confidential assistant to the sheriff, by phone at (315) 536-5542 or email.

Organizers note that additional tour dates may be scheduled in the future, depending on interest.
