Wayland Woman Charged With DWI After Victor MVA

On Thursday, Kara Ponko, 35, of Wayland, was arrested by police following a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of State Route 96 and State Route 251 in the town of Victor.

According to authorities, Ponko was determined to be at fault for the accident. A subsequent investigation allegedly revealed that she was operating her vehicle on a public highway while in an intoxicated condition.

Ponko was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and released with uniform traffic tickets. She is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
