A Waterloo man has been charged with felony contempt, according to local police reports.

A Waterloo man was arrested Tuesday after Seneca Falls Police say he violated an active order of protection.

According to the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, 34-year-old Jeremy Capron was taken into custody on June 2 following an investigation into an alleged violation of a valid stay-away order of protection.

Police charged Capron with two counts of first-degree criminal contempt and two counts of aggravated family offense, all felony charges.

Following his arrest, Capron was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he was held pending arraignment.

The charges stem from allegations that Capron violated the terms of the court-issued order of protection.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
