Investigation Underway After House Fire In Sodus Point

An investigation is underway following a house fire in the Village of Sodus Point Wednesday morning.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded around 8:36 a.m. to a reported structure fire at a single-family home on North Fitzhugh Street.

Authorities say everyone inside the home was able to escape safely and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Multiple emergency agencies responded to the scene, including the Sodus Point, Alton, Wallington, East Williamson, and Sodus fire departments, along with Silver Waters EMS.
