Two people were rescued from Seneca Lake on Sunday after Yates County 911 received a report of an overturned kayak in the middle of the lake with the occupants screaming for help.
Emergency crews from Dundee, Himrod, and Branchport/Keuka Park were summoned to the scene just after 12 p.m. Before first responders could conduct a search on the water, two people on jet skis reached the overturned kayak and rescued both.
The pair were brought back to shore and evaluated by Dundee ambulance personnel.
