Registration Open for United Way Day of Caring

Registration is now open for an annual Cayuga County community event.

Volunteer and project registration is open for United Way of Cayuga County’s Day of Caring. The annual event sees volunteers from across Cayuga County come together to complete a variety of projects at nonprofits in the county.

Volunteers must be at least ten years old to register; those 17 and under must have an adult guardian register with them. Individuals and teams of up to 30 to register. The deadline to register is July 22; to guarantee a Day of Caring t-shirt, organizers are required to register by July 2.

For groups seeking to register a project, groups must be 501c(3) organizations within the county. Projects must have an on-site coordinator. Project registration is due by July 10.

Officials said that during last year’s event, nearly 220 volunteers completed 16 different projects across the county.
