Longtime Clay Town Supervisor Out on Leave

The supervisor of the Town of Clay is currently on leave with no timetable announced for his return.

Syracuse.com reports Clay Town Supervisor Damian Ulatowski has missed recent town board meetings, including sessions on April 20 and earlier this month. Deputy Supervisor Joe Bick confirmed he has been filling in and presiding over board meetings during Ulatowski’s absence.

Ulatowski confirmed he is on leave but declined to provide additional details regarding the reason. He said he plans to return but could not say when that would happen.

The 71-year-old Ulatowski has served as Clay town supervisor for nearly two decades. Earlier this year, he announced he would not seek re-election.
