A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road 6 and Billsboro Road in the Town of Geneva sent one person to the hospital Friday night.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the personal injury crash at around 8:20 p.m. involving a Honda Accord and a Chevrolet Equinox.
Investigators said 67-year-old Elizabeth Chase, of Geneva, was driving the Chevrolet Equinox when she allegedly failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a Honda Accord operated by 22-year-old Alvonte Graves, of Bellona.
Deputies and first responders found Chase injured at the scene. She was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said Graves drove himself to Geneva General Hospital, where he was evaluated for leg pain.
Geneva Foreign Sports responded to the scene and towed both vehicles.
The intersection of County Road 6 and Billsboro Road was shut down for approximately two hours before reopening to traffic.
Chase was issued uniform traffic tickets for failing to stop at a stop sign and not having insurance on file for the vehicle.
The fact that a person has been charged with a violation is merely an accusation and the person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
