Drivers in Geneva and throughout the Finger Lakes may notice a significant increase in motorcycle traffic this week as hundreds of firefighter motorcyclists gather in the area for a regional rally.

The Finger Lakes Chapter of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club is hosting a multi-state event from Wednesday through Sunday at the 41 Lakefront Hotel, bringing members from 12 states and two Canadian provinces to Geneva.  The Red Knights Motorcycle Club is an international organization made up of firefighters and fire service personnel who share an interest in motorcycling.

Throughout the week, participants are expected to travel extensively across Geneva and the surrounding Finger Lakes communities while taking part in organized rides and exploring local attractions.

Organizers are encouraging motorists to be aware of the increased number of motorcycles on area roads and to use extra caution when traveling.
