Alfred University President Mark Zupan and Tompkins Cortland Community College President Amy Krsmanick shake hands after signing a new partnership agreement to expand options for TC3 Health Sciences graduates.

Tompkins Cortland Community College and Alfred University have signed a new transfer agreement that creates a direct pathway for TC3 graduates to continue their education in Alfred’s bachelor’s degree programs within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The agreement was signed Monday during a ceremony at Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden.

Under the agreement, graduates of TC3’s Health Sciences program who earn at least a 2.0 GPA will be guaranteed admission into Alfred University’s Sports and Health Sciences program.

TC3 President Amy Kremenek said the partnership creates new opportunities for students in the college’s recently launched Health Sciences program, which she said has quickly become one of the school’s most popular academic offerings.

Alfred University President Mark Zupan said the agreement reflects both institutions’ commitment to expanding access to healthcare education and preparing students for careers in health and wellness fields.

Officials said Alfred’s Sports and Health Sciences program is designed to prepare students for healthcare careers or advanced study in related fields.
