Mozaic is expanding its reach into Oswego County through a merger with two longtime service providers.
The Cayuga County-based agency announced that Oswego Industries and The Arc of Oswego County are officially merging with Mozaic. The organizations’ programs and services will now operate under the Mozaic name.
Mozaic currently serves Cayuga, Seneca, and Yates counties through programs that include group homes, day habilitation services, and support programs for individuals with disabilities and other barriers.
The agency was formed in 2020 through the merger of The Arc of Seneca Cayuga and The Arc of Yates. The Cayuga and Seneca Arc organizations had previously merged in 1997.
In announcing the latest expansion, Mozaic said the merger will strengthen its ability to provide inclusive and person-centered services while broadening support opportunities for individuals and families in Oswego County.
“This merger represents a bold step forward in our commitment to inclusivity, opportunity, and independence,” the organization said in a statement. “By uniting our expertise and assets, Mozaic will deliver broader, more robust support for people with disabilities and other barriers.”
Mozaic President and CEO Allen Connely said the organization is excited to continue its mission in Oswego County.
“Our mission is to provide lifelong opportunities that support people with diverse abilities on their paths to personal success,” Connely said. “As we come together, our shared values and vision will guide us in creating a brighter, more inclusive future for all.”
