UPDATE: As of 10:15 a.m., RG&E reports the outages are down to 400 in Ontario County.
EARLIER: An RG&E power outage in Ontario County is affecting nearly 9,000 customers this morning. The cause of the outage is not yet known, with the Canandaigua and Hopewell areas most affected. RG&E indicates that power will be restored in several hours.
As a result of the outages, Canandaigua City Schools will open on a two-hour delay today.
