A Horseheads man was arrested Wednesday after Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies said he unlawfully entered a residence in the Town of Canandaigua.

Deputies responded around 1:00 p.m. to a suspicious condition complaint at a home on State Route 364. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a caller reported that a man had entered the residence even though he was not the homeowner.

Investigators identified the man as 56-year-old David Wing of Horseheads. Deputies said they confirmed Wing had entered and remained inside the home.

The homeowner was contacted and told deputies he did not know Wing and had not given him permission to enter the residence.

Wing was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was being held pending CAP Court arraignment.

The Sheriff’s Office also said Wing was identified as a suspect in a separate burglary investigation and is expected to face additional charges.
