A Penn Yan woman was airlifted to a Rochester hospital following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in the Town of Barrington.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 3 p.m. to State Route 14A north of Welker Road for a reported personal injury crash.  Investigators said 68-year-old Georgia Ryan was attempting to exit the driveway of Community Feed when her vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by 68-year-old Douglas Ingram, of Dundee.

Ryan was flown from the scene by LifeNet to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries described as undetermined.

Ingram was evaluated at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Dundee Fire Department, Dundee Ambulance, Yates EMS, and the Yates County Office of Emergency Services.
