The date is set for Auburn’s newest mural unveiling.
The Auburn Downtown Partnership has announced that the Thommie Walsh memorial mural, a 10×10′ mural showcasing the Auburn native’s connection to theatre and choreography, will be officially unveiled on May 27 at 1:00p. The mural will be placed on the backside of the Riordan Realty Building on Dill Street
The project was managed by the partnership and funded through the City of Auburn’s Downtown Revitalization Award.
Walsh was a dancer, choreographer, director, and author who received two Tony awards in 1980 and 1983. He died in Auburn in 2007 at the age of 57.
