The City of Auburn is advising motorists to expect traffic delays and detours Thursday as crews conduct a water main repair project near the intersection of Standart Avenue and Murray Street.

According to the city’s Department of Municipal Utilities, the repair work will impact traffic flow in the area throughout the day.

Officials say west-to-east traffic will be allowed to continue toward Grant Avenue using a one-way traffic pattern. East-to-west traffic on Standart Avenue will be detoured onto Schwartz Drive.

The intersection of Standart Avenue and Murray Street will be completely closed to all Murray Street traffic during the repair work, with vehicles being detoured via Dawson Avenue.

Drivers are being asked to use caution in the area and watch for utility workers and changing traffic patterns within the construction zone.
