With its annual children’s summer rec program just a month away, the City of Auburn has announced changes to how the program will work this year.

New for this year, participating children will need to have their parents or guardians register them before they can participate in programming.

Officials said registration is open from June 1 through June 29. Forms can be downloaded on the city’s website and handed in at the Parks & Rec office in the basement of Memorial City Hall.

The 2026 Summer Recreation Program will begin on Tuesday, June 30, and last through mid-August at the following locations: Lincoln Park on Tuesdays, Clifford Park on Wednesdays, and Casey Park on Thursdays. All programs will run from 1:00-4:00p.

More information on the program can be found on the city’s website.
