Keuka College junior Brooke Burd of Canisteo has been named Empire 8 Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week after a standout performance Saturday against SUNY Morrisville. Burd scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, recording her sixth double-double of the season. She also added four blocks to help lead the Wolves to victory.
This season, Burd has six double-doubles, ranking her among the top ten nationally. She is averaging 10.9 points and 12.2 rebounds per game, both improvements over last year. With 11 career double-doubles in just 34 games, Burd ranks fourth in program history.
Keuka College enters the winter break with a 5-4 record and will return to the court in 2026 for a home Empire 8 weekend against Russell Sage and Hartwick College.
