Keuka Women’s Soccer Falls to St. John Fisher in Empire 8 Matchup

The Keuka College women’s soccer team dropped an 8–0 decision on the road Saturday against St. John Fisher University in Empire 8 Conference play.

Goalkeeper Elianna Wilder (Victor, N.Y. / Victor) made 13 saves for the Wolves, who fell to 1–10–4 overall and 1–7–2 in conference play.

St. John Fisher struck early with a goal in the sixth minute and added two more in the 31st to take a 3–0 lead into halftime. Keuka’s best first-half opportunities came from Delaney Szostak (Marion, N.Y. / Marion), whose shot went wide before heading another attempt just off target following a corner kick.

The Cardinals continued their offensive surge after the break, scoring five more times in the second half to secure the shutout victory.

  • The result evens the all-time series between Keuka and St. John Fisher at 8–8–1.
  • With her 13 saves, Wilder moved into eighth place on Keuka College’s career saves list, surpassing alumna Jessica Pegg ’21.
  • The Wolves’ 134 team saves this season rank sixth-most in program history.
