Keuka College Wolves Fall at Morrisville in Men’s Soccer

The Keuka College Men’s Soccer team opened the 2024 season with a 3-0 loss at SUNY Morrisville on Friday.

Cory Cangemi (Marcellus, N.Y. / Marcellus) made four saves in goal for Keuka College (0-1). The Wolves were led offensively by Owen Thorpe (Horseheads, N.Y. / Horseheads) with three shots on goal.

The Mustangs struck first as they connected a string of passes and found the back of the net in the 14th minute. Thorpe had a chance in the 36th minute but it was saved and the Mustangs carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.

Morrisville had a corner kick early in the second half, but the Wolves turned that into offense on the counter, but Thorpe’s effort was saved. The Mustangs took a 2-0 lead in the 55th minute. They added a goal later in the half on their way to the 3-0 victory.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves return to action next Saturday as they travel to Williamsport, Pa. to face Penn College at 1 p.m.
