Despite Career-High From Popoola, Keuka Men’s Basketball Falls to Brockport

The Keuka College Men’s Basketball team dropped an Empire 8 Conference game at SUNY Brockport 88-57 on Friday night.

Junior guard Akinlana Popoola (Cleveland, Ohio / Padua Franciscan) led Keuka College (6-11, 3-6 Empire 8) with a career-high 23 points. He added four assists for the Wolves.

Makya Morrison (Oneonta, N.Y. / Oneonta) added eight points for Keuka. Tyler Green (Sackets Harbor, N.Y. / Sackets Harbor) and Amar Jackson (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Frederick Douglas Academy) led the Wolves with five rebounds apiece.

The Wolves will turn the page and look ahead to Saturday’s game at SUNY Geneseo. Keuka College will be looking for the season sweep after beating SUNY Geneseo on David M. Sweet Court two weeks ago. Saturday’s matchup will be a 4 p.m. tipoff in Geneseo.
