Campers in bright green shirts gather outdoors at Rotary Camp Onsewaya, an event supported by community efforts in the Finger Lakes region.

For almost 70-years, kids with special needs have attended the summer called Camp Onseyawa.

The camp is sponsored by 21-Rotary Clubs from Ontario, Seneca, Yates, and Wayne Counties, and is held at the Boy Scout Camp Babcock-Hovey in Ovid.

The Boy Scouts are selling property, so the Rotary Club has decided to move to Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake in Dresden. To help pay for upgrades needed at Camp Whitman,  a GoFundMe campaign is looking to raise $60,000.

Thousands of children and families have benefited from the two-week camp.
